The Union party projects strong values of the middle class that translate into real policy guidelines. The guidelines provide an identity for the middle class and for potential candidates that can hold forth and stand true. It will not rely on the current two parties to adopt these values and guidelines, but hold steadfast in the American spirit to provide momentum through popularity, organization, and elections.
This is an effort to put real values, ideas, and expectation at the forefront of the people of the middle class and try to gain popularity and momentum. This site has a registration form which will be used to collect minimal information about those that agree strongly and want significant change. The objective is to set a goal of 2% of the voting population (approximately 3,220,000) registrations before organization can begin. Organization will start with selection of representatives for all registrations by US region (north, south, east, and west). From there, regular meetings will held and message marketing will continue. Part of organization is fund raising as well, since longevity will depend on economic support. Since politics is really not a highly sought occupation, candidate volunteers and selections will take some time. Eventually, the ultimate goal is to get some Union party representatives elected in some lower level political races where large populations of Independents exist, and then gain more momentum to higher level electoral races as popularity increases. In the event that registration levels never reach the goal within three years time, this web site and all data will be purged. Then its back to the drawing board.
Get involved with this movement by sharing the values, ideals, and guidelines from this web site. Encourage registry for those who believe the middle class needs adequate representation.
In an interview with Jimmy Carter, he said his high school teacher gave him some advice that stayed with him for his whole life - “While we must adapt to the circumstances that do change, we must adhere to the core principles that do not”. This quote is in the heart of the Union party.
